BLACKJACK

The object is for you to draw cards that total 21 or come closer to 21 than the dealer, without going over. All cards are at face value, except for the King, Queen and Jack which count as 10. An Ace will have a value of 11 unless that would give a player or the dealer a score in excess of 21; in which case, it has a value of 1. The dealer starts the game.

Every player gets 2 cards, face up. The dealer gets 2 cards, with a Hole Card (1 card face down). Only after all players’ hands are played does the dealer disclose the Hole Card and play the dealer’s hand. Once you have your 2 cards in front of you, you can choose to Stand (draw no more cards), or take a Hit (draw one or more cards) until you reach 21 or come as close as possible. However, if you go over 21, you Break (automatically lose).  A winning hand pays even money.

Now the dealer turns over the Hole Card and acts on the hand according to the rules of the game. The dealer must draw on soft 17’s and stand on hard 17’s and all 18’s. At the end of the game, if your count is the same as the dealer’s, it is a Push (nobody wins). If the player’s count is greater than the dealer’s count and both have not exceeded 21, the player wins.

BLACKJACK HAND

In the event your first two cards are an Ace and any 10 value card, the dealer announces your hand as “Blackjack.” You will be paid at this time, if the dealer does not have an Ace or a 10 value card as a face up card. If the dealer’s hand is a Blackjack, the game is a Push. A player’s winning Blackjack is paid off at odds of 3 to 2 or on selected games 6 to 5. A two-card 21 wins over a multi-card 21 in all circumstances.

BLACKJACK TERMS

Splitting Pairs
If your first 2 cards are a pair with the same numerical value, you may split them into 2 hands. You must bet the same amount as your original wager on each hand formed by splitting a pair. You must complete play on your first hand before playing your second hand. However, you may double down on each hand. If the split pairs are Aces, you will receive only 1 card on each. Because only 1 card is given when Aces are split, a player may not double down on Aces that have been split. Pairs may split a maximum of 2 times, for a total of 3 hands, if you split your initial pair and you receive an identically valued card to create another pair.  Please note that pairs can be split twice except if they are Aces which can only be split once.  Split cards will only receive 1 card each.

Doubling Down
After you get your first two cards, except when your first 2 cards total 21. When doubling down you draw only 1 additional card.

Insurance
If the dealer’s face up card is an Ace, and prior to anyone receiving additional cards, you may take insurance. To do this you place a bet no more than one-half of your original bet on the insurance line. If the dealer’s Hole Card is a 10, Jack, Queen, or King, you win your insurance bet at odds of 2 to 1. If the dealer’s Hole Card is any other card, you lose your insurance bet. The dealer collects all losing insurance wagers before continuing the hand. If the correct amount of insurance cannot be bet due to the limitation of the value of chip denomination (i.e., a $7.50 bet allowing a $3.75 insurance bet), the player may insure as close to the maximum insurance without over-insuring the bet.

CARD HANDLING

Players are not allowed to touch the cards.

THE PLAYER’S HAND

The player is responsible for the correct count of his or her hand.

HAND SIGNALS

The player is responsible for the proper use of hand signals to indicate Hit or Stand. Other decisions may be made verbally.

CRAPS

A lively Craps game is the ultimate when it comes to fun and excitement. In this fast-paced game, there are many ways to bet and just as many ways to win! It’s as simple as placing a bet on the Pass Line or Don’t
Pass Line and your fun begins!

CRAPS BETS

Come Out Roll
The first roll of the dice at the opening of the game or the next roll of the dice after a decision with respect to Pass Bet and Don’t Pass Bet.

Come Out Point
A total of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 thrown by the shooter on the Come Out roll.

Pass Line
A Pass Line wager is placed immediately prior to the Come Out roll. You win on 7 and 11 and lose on 2, 3, or 12 on the Come Out roll. If any other number rolls, it’s your point. If your point rolls before 7, you win. If 7 rolls before your point, you lose and the dice move to the next shooter. Pass Line Bets cannot be reduced or removed after the point is established. This bet pays even money.

Don’t Pass Line
A bet on this line plays the game in reverse of the Pass Line. You lose on 7 and 11 and win on 2 and 3 on the Come Out roll. When 12 is rolled, it’s a Standoff. When 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 rolls, it is the point. You are betting that 7 will be rolled before the point. This bet must be placed before the Come Out roll, but may be removed or decreased after a point is established; however it may not be replaced or increased after such removal or reduction. This bet pays even money.

Come
You can bet on Come at any time after the Come Out roll. You can try for a new point at any time. You win on 7 and 11 and lose on 2, 3, or 12 on the roll immediately following placement of the bet. If any other number rolls, it’s your point and your bet will be moved to that number. If your point rolls before 7, you win. If 7 rolls before your point, you lose. A Come Bet cannot be reduced or removed after a number is established for such bet.

Don’t Come
A bet on this plays the game in reverse of the Come Line. You lose on the 7 and 11 and win on 2 and 3 on the roll immediately following placement of the bet. When 12 is rolled, it is a Standoff.

When 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 rolls, it is your point. You are betting that 7 will be rolled before the point. When a point is established, the bet will be placed behind that number. This bet pays even money. Don’t Come Bets cannot be increased, but may be removed, or decreased after a point is established; however they may not be replaced or increased after such removal or reduction.

Odds
An additional wager in support of a Pass Line/Come Bet may be made. This bet is known as Odds bet. The Odds bet for the Pass Line/Come Bet may be placed or removed any time after the Come Out roll and the point is established. Come Bet Odds are inactive on the Come Out roll unless called “on” by the player. Odds on the Pass Line/Come Bet for the point of 4 or 10 may be a maximum of 10 times your Pass Line/
Come Bet and pay 2 to 1. On the point of 5 and 9 the Odds may be a maximum of 10 times your Pass Line/Come Bet and pay 3 to 2. On the point of 6 and 8 the Odds may be a maximum of 10 times the Pass Line/ Come Bet and pay 6 to 5.

Lays
An additional wager in support of the Don’t Pass Line/ Don’t Come Bet may be made. This bet is referred to as a Lay Bet. The Lay Bet for the Don’t Pass Line/Don’t Come Bet may be placed or removed any time after the Come Out roll and the point is established. Lay Bets always work. Lay Bets on the 4 and 10 allow you to win a maximum of 10 times your original wager on the Don’t Pass Line/Don’t Come Bets and you have to lay 2 to win 1. Lay Bets on the 5 and 9 allow the player to win a maximum of 10 times the original wager on the Don’t Pass Line/Don’t Come Bets and you have to lay 3 to win 2. Lay Bets on 6 and 8 allow you to win a maximum of 10 times your original wager on the Don’t Pass Line/Don’t Come Bets and you have to lay 6 to win 5.

Place Bets
To Win On a Place Bet, you can bet on 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 at any time. If your number rolls before 7, you win according to the odds payout chart. If 7 rolls before your number, you lose. Place Bets are inactive on the Come Out roll unless called “on” by the player.

Buy Bets
Buy Bets are exactly the same as Place Bets except by paying a 5% commission on the Buy Bet, you receive the true odds as shown on the chart. Buy Bets are inactive on the Come Out roll unless called “on” by the player. A Buy button denotes this bet.

Lay Bet
You may Lay a bet against 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 at any time. In order to do so, you must pay a 5% commission based on what you could win. Lay Bets always work. Check the chart for the payoffs. A Lay button denotes this bet.

Hop Bets or Proposition Bets
These are one-roll bets, except for Hard Ways. The dealer will place all Proposition Bets in the center of the Craps table. The dealer will take or pay all Proposition Bets on the next roll of the dice – again except for Hard Ways. Unless you request otherwise, your winning bet remains in action.

Any 7
You can bet Any 7 on any roll of the dice. When 7 rolls, you win and are paid 4 to 1; if any other number rolls, you lose. This is a one-roll bet.

Any Craps
You can bet on any roll of the dice. If 2, 3 or 12 rolls, you win and are paid 7 to 1. If any other number is rolled, you lose. This is a one-roll bet.

Hard Ways
There are four Hard Ways combinations. Hard Four (two 2s), Hard Six (two 3s), Hard Eight (two 4s), and Hard 10 (two 5s). For instance, if you wanted to place a bet on Hard Four, your bet would appear as shown.
You can bet the combination you want at any time. Hard Way wagers win if the selected Hard Way is rolled before a 7 and lose if a 7 is rolled or the selected number is rolled in any other way prior to the selected Hard Way being rolled. For instance, if you bet the Hard Six (two 3s) you win when that rolls before 7 or any Easy Six (5 and 1, or 2 and 4).

Hard Ways pay high odds as listed in the payout chart. Hard Ways are inactive on the Come Out roll unless called “on” by the player.

Horn Bet
Here you bet on a combination of four numbers: 2, 3, 11 and 12 (Horn). If any of these numbers are rolled, you win; if any other number is rolled, you lose. One-fourth (1/4) of the Horn Bet is bet on each of the individual numbers (2, 3, 11 and 12). If any of these numbers roll, you win and are paid at the odds as listed in the payout charts. If any other number is rolled, you lose. This is a one-roll bet.

Horn High Bets
There are four Horn High combinations, Horn High 2 (Aces), Horn High 3 (Ace, Deuce), Horn High 11 (5, 6), and Horn High 12 (2 Sixes). If 2, 3, 11 or 12 rolls, you win, if any other number is rolled, you lose. This is a one-roll bet. How this differs from a Horn Bet is that one-fifth (1/5) of the Horn High is bet on each of the individual Horn numbers (2, 3, 11, 12), with an additional one-fifth (1/5) of the bet on the designated Horn High number (for example, Horn High 11: two-fifths (2/5) of the bet on 11, one-fifth (1/5) on 2, one-fifth (1/5) on 3, one-fifth (1/5) on 12).

Field Bet
The Field contains the numbers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 12. All numbers pay even money, except 2 pays double and 12 pays triple. The Field Bet may be made at any time and is a self-service, one-roll wager.

Proposition Bets
  • Any Craps One-roll bet. A roll of 2, 3 or 12 wins the bet. Any other number loses.
  • Crap 2 One-roll bet. If 2 rolls, the bet wins. Any other number loses.
  • Crap 3 One-roll bet. If 3 rolls, the bet wins. Any other number loses.

  • Hop Bets One-roll bets that may be bet at any time on a specific combination of the dice, which wins only if the combination is thrown on the next roll and loses if any other combination is thrown. Players can make Hop Bets at any time.

TOURNAMENT RULES

No rake will be taken.

No limit betting structure.

Each round will be limited to twenty (20) minutes.

Straddle bets are not permitted.

An absent player must be dealt a hand each deal and have antes, blinds, and forced bets put in the Pot from his/her stack as required. The Dealer will be responsible to ensure the proper amount of chips are put into the Pot. Any player that is absent from the Tournament for more than one-half hour will be disqualified from Tournament Play and forfeit their tournament entry. No refunds will be granted.

An exposed card on the initial card dealt to each player will constitute a misdeal.

If a player lacks sufficient non-value chips for a blind, the player is entitled to get action on whatever amount of non-value chips they have remaining.  A player who posts a short blind and wins does not need to make up the blind. When a player is all-in for less than the required blind, the remaining players will have the following options:

  1. Fold
  2. Complete the Blind
  3. Raise

If the signal sounding the end of a round goes off, any hand partially complete or underway will be finished.  A hand is said to have begun on the first riffle of the shuffle. New limits apply on the first hand of the next round.

Initial seating assignments are done by the player drawing a table and seat number during registration.  The Tournament Director may move players during the Tournament to “balance” the number of players at each table. Best efforts will be made to place a player in the same position that he/she was in prior to the move.

When tables are “broken” (remaining players at table all reseated at other tables), players will again draw their seat and table assignment for the next table. A player moving into a seat assumes any obligations or benefits of the seat unless that seat is between the small blind and the button.

Players will redraw their table and seat assignment in the same manner when the field is reduced to a final table.

“High carding” will be utilized at the beginning of the Tournament and again when the field is reduced to a final table in order to determine the Dealer Button.

Players are eliminated when they have lost all their non-value chips.  The winner is the player at the final table with all the non-value chips.

A player who declares himself all-in, loses the Pot, and then discovers that one or more non-value chips are hidden, is not entitled to benefit from concealment.  The Tournament Director in his sole discretion will rule on each case.

An odd non-value chip will be awarded to the player closest to the button starting at the left of the button.

No person will be permitted to take another player’s chips once that person has participated in tournament play.

When the field has been reduced to two (2) tables, the following shall apply:

If two or more players go broke on the same hand, the player starting the hand with the larger amount of non-value chips finishes in the highest tournament place.

At the final table when a three-handed game loses a player, the player due for the big blind must take it.  This means that a player may have to take the little blind twice in a row, or have to take the big blind immediately after taking the little blind.  Proper assignment of the big blind takes precedent.  When only two players remain, the small blind is on the button.

ROULETTE

Roulette is a fun and simple game that provides exciting action. The player will exchange currency for non-value Roulette chips or may play with value chips. Players will utilize these chips to make various wagers on different numbers throughout the Roulette layout.

Roulette offers a wide variety of bets: Straight Up Bets, where you bet on a single number; Combination Bets, where you split your bets on adjoining numbers; Red or Black, Odd or Even, and many others. The placement of wagers will determine how much will be paid out (See the payout chart). You play with your individually colored chips, good only at the table where they were issued. The value of each chip is determined by the player at the time of Buy-In.  Each betting cycle begins with the dealer spinning a ball in the opposite direction of the revolving roulette wheel head. Bets may be placed until the dealer announces “No more bets.”

When the ball comes to rest, the dealer marks the winning number, and all bets which correspond to this number are paid.

A FEW SIMPLE RULES TO REMEMBER WHEN PLAYING ROULETTE:

• All roulette chips must stay on top of the gaming table at all times.
• You may not leave the table with roulette chips in your possession.
• At the completion of play, you must exchange all roulette chips for regular Casino cheques. These are the $25, $5 and $1 cheques used on all of the other table games.

MINI-BACCARAT

HOW TO PLAY MINI-BACCARAT

Mini-Baccarat is an elegant, simple game to play. There are only two decisions you have to make. How much you want to bet, and whether to bet on the banker or the player. If you bet on the banker, simply place your bet in the area closest to you marked “Banker.” Likewise, if you bet the player. The Casino-Hotel will collect five percent commission of all money won on the bank. The commissions must be paid at the conclusion of each shoe..

TIE BET

Another additional bet you may make is a Tie Bet (Both Player and Banker hands will end in equal totals). A winning Tie Bet pays 8 to 1. As for the game itself, Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Any card from 2 to 9 uses its face value. Ace equals one, deuce equals two, and all 10s and face cards, or any combination of them, have no value. When the total of the cards exceeds nine, the first digit of the total is dropped, because in the game of Baccarat, all hands must be a single digit number from 0 to 9. So, 7 + 4 = 1, Queen + Ace = 1.

All bets must be placed before the dealer calls, “no more bets” and the cards are dealt. The game begins when four cards are dealt alternately from the shoe: the first card to the player, the second card to the bank, the third card to the player and the fourth card to the bank. If the point count of either hand is 8 or 9, it is called a Natural and no additional cards are drawn. The dealer announces the point count of the player’s hand and the banker’s hand and the dealer will draw additional cards according to the rules below. Only one additional card may be drawn to each hand. The hand closest to 9 wins and is paid at odds of 1 to 1. If both player’s and banker’s hand result in identical totals, it is Tie Hand and the Tie Bet wins; neither the player nor the banker hand wins or loses. The below chart describes the rules governing the drawing of additional cards.

BANKERS RULES

When the Banker’s first two cards total: Banker draws when the player’s third card is: Banker does not draw when the player’s third card is:

Mini-Baccarat is a smaller form of Midi-Baccarat. All cards in Mini-Baccarat are dealt by the dealer and the dealer controls the shoe. The decisions made are the same as Baccarat. The player must decide on whether or not to bet on the banker, the player or on the Tie Bet. Five percent commission is collected on all money won on the bank.

DRAGON BONUS®

Is an optional side wager for Mini-Baccarat that does not change the drawing rules or commission structure.

PLAYERS HAVE TWO WAYS TO WIN:

Players must make the Dragon Bonus® wager before the dealer calls “no more bets.” The Dragon Bonus wins when your hand is a natural winner, or when your non natural hand wins by at least four points. With Non-Natural winners, the larger the margin of victory, the large the payout. The Dealer will then deal the traditional Mini-Baccarat hand according to house procedures. When the hand is over, the Dealer will reconcile traditional Mini-Baccarat wagers according to the house procedures.

The house will remove losing bets immediately and then pay the winners.

Notes on Naturals:

  • Natural winners pay even-money on the Dragon Bonus® bet.
  • In the event of a Natural that ties, the Dragon Bonus® pushes.

DRAGON BONUS® WAGER PAYOUT SCHEDULE

 Naturals  Non-Naturals
 Natural Winners    1 to 1  Win By 9 Points  30 to 1
Natural Ties    Push  Win By 8 Points  10 to 1
 Win By 7 Points  6 to 1
 Win By 6 Points  4 to 1
 Win By 5 Points  2 to 1
 Win By 4 Points  1 to 1

MISSISSIPPI STUD

Mississippi StudTM is a five-card poker game that lets you bet up to 10 units on a single hand.

In Mississippi Stud, you compete against a paytable, not against the dealer, and win with Pair of Jacks or better (Pairs of 6s-10s push). The top payout is 500 to 1 for a Royal Flush—and it pays on all bets!

GETTING STARTED

Make an Ante bet to receive your first two cards. The dealer will place three community cards face down in the middle of the layout.

PLAY OR FOLD?

At this point, you may either fold or make the “3rd Street” bet of 1x to 3x your Ante. The dealer then reveals the first community card. Once you see the first community card, you have a choice: fold or make the “4th Street” bet of 1x to 3x your Ante. The dealer then reveals the second community card. Once again, you can fold or stay in the game by making the “5th Street” bet from 1x to 3x your Ante.

Note: When you fold, you forfeit all bets left in action.

WINNING AND LOSING

After the dealer turns over the final community card, he resolves all wagers left in action. You win with Pair of Jacks or better (Pairs of 6s-10s push).*

Would someone be able to turn town the sound of those new machines that are right by the poker room? Those of us playing $1 machines have to cover our ears because the noise coming from those machines is so loud – thanks

    FUN…BUT SEND COUPONS!

  13. Deb Esch say:

I am so disappointed with the Epic buffet. we were there on a friday two weeks ago and it was pathetic. No fried chicken, no roast turkey, no beef stew or goulash. The “asian” offering is inedible. Leave the heat out, and if a person wants heat they can add it. Burnt clam chowder…. if you cannot afford an acceptable assortment worthy of being called “Epic” then close it down. or take some lessons from the Buffet at the Joliet venue or the Buffet at the M resort in Vegas. Now that is a Buffet.

“update” evidently the management reads these posts. we recently visited the Epic buffet and some changes have been made. On the right track,; Thanks for listening, much better dining! 5/16/17

The New Marque rewards – I hope that all the Producers know that you will not be able to access the Producers lounge any more only exec producers will, there is no real benefit for Producers now, so I will be saying good bye to Hollywood, its very sad they are raising the levels for the ones that come down to play for the rewards, its now a earning level of 125,000 every six months to get exec producer for the benefits and400,000 points for the new level Icon.. !! Good luck to all that stay in the program and manage to get to Exec producer and even icon level. I wish you all well.

    It ok lol

  28. Michael Lewis say:

Nice variety of slot machines going on here.
The blackjack table minimum were a bit high at $25.00/hand for my taste. Yet I got the feeling that was because it’s Chicago. They want more of your money to play card games versus in Iowa. Where the casinos sort of have to give you a bargain.
The buffet looked a bit small from what I used to seeing. Yet the whole place seemed a bit small. I’m guessing because it’s on a boat.
For the 3 hours I played. I really enjoyed my time though playing quite a few new slots I had never seen before.
The rewards card is a bit confusing. I’ve never seen a rewards booth that was so against telling you how the rewards card worked or if you needed a pin for anything. This was my only reason for not giving you guys a full 5 star rating.
Otherwise I had a good time here, just wish the tables were a bit lower on the minimum for blackjack. Especially during the week, which is when I was in.

They falsely advertised a bonus free slotplay when you give an email nowhere does it say for first time customers only on the mailer that was sent to me, so I got all the way down there just to find out I didn’t get what I should have…they have a lot of work to do to make things right again….or I WILL find 25+ people to tell my poor experience to and they will also follow suit…in customer service that’s how it works a someone has a good experience they will tell 10 of their friends about it, if that experience is poor or bad they will tell 25 people. You can guess which one I am.

  50. Marianne Gatziolis Bartemio say:

Fun. Lots of energy. Lots of games and great food!

  51. Bonne Pajac say:

I do better here than any other in the area, may not win big but I can at least keep playing.

  52. Dagmar Heitz say:

I used to love going to Hollywood in Aurora until they took all the older desktop video poker machines out and replaced them with digital video poker machines. The payout was so much less and very rarely did you get three of a kind or full house. Four of a kind was scarce as well. I haven’t been there for about a year but have gone to Hollywood in Joliet and enjoyed myself!

  53. Lety Ramirez say:

Yo me divierto mucho en Hollywood Casino Aurora y mas si voy acompañada de familia y amigos.

  54. Benito Peinado say:

Its fun, I feel welcomed bh the staff every time. I try to win big when I get a chance the deli location has good food. Their buffet is phenomenal they treat you like royalty there

  55. Samantha Leon say:

The employees are awesome but i have never won here. Probably never coming back. Sticking to GVC where i actually walk out with money!

  58. Peace Offerings say:

Awesome time we had! Won $$$ and had a great dinner!

  59. Scott Paulson say:

This casino’s VIP lounge is horrendous. Again, it’s “what can they do with rice?” They’ve got a pan of steamed veggies, a pan of rice, and a pan of some sort of meat in greasy water, I guess. Didn’t fish around to see what’s below the water line.

  60. Silvia Pasholk say:

Tiene Buen buffet, los emlpeados son muy amables, sodas gratis viernes, sabado, diferente musica, exhelente!!!!!

  61. Jesse Connell say:

This place is complete b.s. No ever wins here and never will! If you would like to check out a real casino Bluechip in Michigan City is where the winning happens and they have amazing rewards. Hollywood is the worst…

  62. Lucia Garcia say:

K Es fabuloso y divertido estar ay

  63. Mika Tamar say:

Never any good promotions if you don’t spend a lot of money….I go 1-2 times a month and still don’t have enough points to even eat free! Go elsewhere!

  64. Timothy James Coughran say:

This place sucks. The worst poker room in the tri state area. Ive had obnoxious dealers play my oppositions hand for them here. Been told I cant play the tournament because they were short 1 dealer. Played against people who conceal higher denomination chips by mixxing them with similar color lower denomination chips and even when bringing attention to this with the floor I was told it was ok and that because they were cash players and still learning the tournament style of play that it was ok.
Well guess what? Its not ok. Youre incompetent idiots and now if at least one person hears these words it will be worth it. Dont waste your time going to this toilet.

  65. Maria Contreras say:

But lately dnt pay nothing when the big boat was there pay alot not anymore.

  66. Irene Robinson say:

Par parking garage sucks been sitting here for 20 minutes I can’t get out

  67. Hattie Jones say:

Hollywood sucks. You can put a hundred dollars in machines, you’ll b lucky if u get 5 dollars back. Fake announcement someones hit a jackpot. U use to be able to win something. U just pay to spin the machines. But we keep giving our money away. This is my last trip here. Tired of losing.

  68. Victoria Stern Brewer say:

I wonder if there is new owners, I used to love this place, but now you can’t ever win. The people that work there are so rude. There 40,000 Give away I was sitting right by the stage. One of the workers were playing around with the second Tumblr with names a bunch of papers fell out. All they had to do was take names out and put the names they want to win in there. This is BS

  69. Annette Fallucca say:

Do not eat at their overpriced buffet. We took his mom there for Mother’s day. If you wanted to eat at the buffet it was $32.99 per person. We did not eat the special offered for mother’s day as they did not look good. Except for the fresh made waffles everything was bland, overcooked and unappealing. The desserts were barely thawed out. So disappointed. I cannot believe is what you get for $32.99. Even the regular $19.99 would have been pushing it. After the disappointing meal we did enjoy the slot machines. While we not win much it was a fun time for the 3 of us. That is the only reason for second star. Skip their buffet and eat before you come.

  70. Donna Cummings say:

lots of fun playing, and the employees there are very helpful

  71. Brian Stringer say:

We just sat down for the Saturday lunch, and had a great time. Food is yummy, service was great.

  77. Maudie Brewer say:

I live within walking distance of the casino I love to come and play games it gives this old lady something to do

  78. Shelley Lyn say:

The casino is very nice and the slots are pretty good. The Take Two has really good food, a lot better than the buffet! I come here with my family once a month and usually I win every other time.

  79. LeeAnn Dearner say:

I really wasn’t overly impressed. I don’t go to casinos often and this one had a lot of electronic machines that were hard to tell what won. Tables were not labeled well. Ended up sitting at the bar and watching baseball while the rest of my party gambled. Drinks are WEAK!

  80. AnnMarie Ferro say:

Asked for a drink and no one came
Stopped someone else and asked, still no drink
    Lost $60 and left

  82. Bo Baker say:

I have allergies and wasn’t allowed in because I had “glossy eyes” and was accused of coming from “the haunted house”…? Thanks for turning a group of paying customers away

  83. Robert Vaquera say:

    The dealer’s are Two face
Talking about how certain people don’t tip and are spending others money.
The dealer’s job to be there is Hollywood casino responsible to pay for the dealer’s job
Not me as a player.very insulted by the conversation the dealer’s were having

  84. Keith R DeBartolo say:

Great Place, big, clean, and friendly..

  85. Eileen Considine say:

Stuck here valet parking lost our car keys not recommend parking valet !!!!!

  86. Jillian Garcia Alvarez say:

Celebrating 11th wedding anniversary with 3 other couples and we are denied entrance because apparently one of us seemed “impaired” to enter the Casino! Really!!!! Party in front us was being questioned 40 times about something and we asked “um can we please be let in” That’s when a security guard stated “sorry but you can’t be let in, you seem impaired”. Never going again and sorry I’m sure your security guard using “impaired” could probably not even spell the word. Worse experience ever!!!

  87. Bill Mrkvicka say:

Never been to this buffet and it was so delious. Prime rib that was so tender your fork touches it and it falls apart for you, lasagna , meat loaf and Mac n cheese and pot roast that was maybe a bit better than prime rib. Over ate but it was well worth it

  88. Armando N Sarah Escareno say:
  89. Violet Claesson say:

Its one of my favorite places to be summer ,winter spring .I love the slots, having a chicago hot dog.The place is beautiful lots of good memories over the . Yrs.

  91. Dell N Carter Kegley say:

Pretty crappy to raise drink prices tonight. Fiance and I whom regularly visit left immediately just on the principle alone. Ur not some bar in the city on new year’s Eve. Ur the casino on the day before new years

  92. Maria Navarro Godinez-Hdz say:
  93. Bill Bentley say:

No chairs to sit on to watch the band. Who is going to stand for hours on end and no where to sit or place your drink on. Very poor set up

  94. Cyndy Heinz say:

10.00 to park in PUBLIC parking?? Won’t be back!! Don’t give out my information for a players card to get junk mail!!

  95. Sheila Juneau say:

Very disappointed in the VIP lounge. They do not wash the tables and most of the time they don’t even offer you a drink. Hollywood in Joliet is awesome. You get somebody that offers you drinks, clean tables and so many more choices. I live near the Aurora one but will drive to Joliet because I love this one more. Even the employees on the floor are so friendly there.

  96. Chaparra Kiki Rodriguez say:

ITS 1 OF MY FAVORITE PLACES THERE FOOD IS AMAZING N VERY CLEAN N THER STAFF ARE GREAT PEOPLE VERY NICE N FRIENDLY I RECOMMEND 100% N I LOVE THE MUSIC THEY PLAY GOOD OLDIES

  97. Sharon Johnson say:

We had a great time our only issue was we sat at a table for an hour to watch the great band that was playing and no waitress ever came over. There were a lot of people watching the band so I would think they’d have had a waitress around the area. We ordered food from the bistro and it was very good & quick.

  98. Karen Marie say:

Weekend live bands are great! I enjoy going and meeting friends and dancing.

  99. Kimberly Frazier say:

  102. Laura Hughes say:

It’s kind of small but it ok. The payouts could be better.

  103. Diane Jarosz say:

I had a great evening with great friends. The slots were fun, but the drinks were high in price for gamblers! Wish they were cheaper! GGB band was super!

  104. Linda Verbelovsky Barbour say:

Good hamburgers at Deli. No longer feel that we get satisfactory play for our money. Hardly see a drink hostess, longer wait at valet. General atmosphere of employees is not a happy one. The buffet is almost empty and even though I am no longer a perk to eat there, I’d be afraid to eat there. we save our money and go to the Four Winds and Blue Chip.

  105. Sharon Ceniceros Meade say:
  106. Shuga Darling say:

I will NEVER eat at the buffet ever again!!!! #horrible

  107. Shirley's EbayStores say:

The customer service at Hollywood Casino is simply outstanding!!!! I don’t rate casinos on how much I win or lose…..that just doesn’t make sense. I rate on overall experience, dining etc. Everyone there goes out of their way to be friendly and extremely helpful…you are made to feel welcome and appreciated. We recently had our Easter dinner at the special holiday buffet and it was wonderful!!!!
I gave up on Grand Victoria in Elgin…Hollywood Casino is #1….

  108. Sylvia Maria Martinez say:

Had a great time. Will be returning soon! Was there with my sister.

  109. Laurie Marie say:

Too many 2 cent machines, and 1 cent machine max of $4-$5 is crazy. Payouts were really low and couldn’t hit free spins ever. Spent 7 hrs there, no comp play.. rarely come here and that’s why. Need pop machine on other end too. I drive farther to Jumers which has way better comps, better payouts, great food and atmosphere. Take note. Oh I’m from Rockford.

  110. Debbie Woodrow Dawoodi say:

Great group. Fun night. Good stage area. Plenty of room to dance.

  120. Verlestine Williams say:
  121. Brian Rademacher say:

Myself and a colleague are working in Oakbrook Terrace from Canda and we decided to cab out to Aurora on a Friday night after looking online. Both of us are substantial craps players and decided to come out to Aurora to visit the Hollywood and after spending $50 on cab rides, we get to the front door and we got denied entrance because we don’t have U.S. Driver’s licenses. We are both 36 years old and we don’t look 21 and we haven’t in 10 years. How many 21 year olds have a receding go hair line and gray hair. On the website it mentions nothing about foreign ID’s and it is completely unacceptable that we get denied enteance after a 30 minute cab ride (each way) and $50 ( each way) especially when we have $2-$3k to spend. Complete bullsh*t….. if you won’t accept foreign ID’s then state it on website and save people the time and money dedicated to attempting to come to your establishment. I have been to Vegas 100’s of times and never once been turned away. Shocking and completely unacceptable.

  122. Vicki Barber say:

Terrible buffet. Don’t eat here. Almost no food and what is there is bad.

  123. John D Munro say:

Great casino. Buffet excellent. Normally closed mondays for lunch. Open yesterday for the holiday.

  124. David Honn say:

I wrote a review that Take two deli did not advertise Blue plate specials,
a response from Casino said they did, Well this was just an outright lie.
I have checked several times since then and NO signage of any kind and the electronic menu board does NOT advertise it as I was told ! I do not like being lied to . If they will lie how can you trust them with anything ?

  125. Erica Lind say:

First time there. Employees were very friendly. Will go back.

  126. Rhonda Becker say:

    Great Time. Excellent, Personable Service.
Kept up my end, valid United States identification, proper attitude and attire. Was treated accordingly. Wonderful experience. Have been back twice and planning a fourth trip. Thank You Hollywood you Do a Great Job!

I went there for an early birthday celebration with my mom on Friday July 28th and I LOVED IT!!! We had a blast… Walked out of there ahead!! Thank you

  128. Michael Kostopoulos say:

  129. Shelli Thomas say:

I had a lot fun dinner was fabulous.but I lost some money ?

  130. Pat Rader say:

Very small, didn’t see any games I recognized, no smoking but won money after being there for 15 minutes!!

DO NOT GO HERE. NONE THE LESS, DO NOT VALET.
Incident date: Thursday August 17, 2017. Approximately 545pm-615pm
2013 Nissan Sentra Sv. $3,000 damage done by Valet. Refuse to pay.

*AUGUST 17 2017- valet pulled up vehicle with damages ranging from driver side mirror, driver side door, driver rear door, driver rear fender, driver rear wheel. Security supervisor Brandon was notified, (630-801-7097) took pictures, gave claim filing instructions. Told me to call within 24hours if I had not been contacted by then. Officer Hornburg #288 arrived on scene at 6:20pm and said its private property, cannot help but also stated it looked pretty damn fresh.

*AUGUST 18 2017- Attempted to call Lori, Risk Management at 700pm. No answer. Left message. Tried contacting Brandon at 502pm, 702pm, and 920pm. Told me at 920pm to call back on Tuesday Aug. 22 to speak with Lori.

*AUGUST 22 2017- Called Lori at 10:20am. No answer, left message. Called security at 10:23am, was told to fax estimates and given another number to call Lori.(630)801-7225.(630)801-7030. Called that number at 10:34am, no answer, left message. Faxed over 2 quotes as directed. Was told to allow 10 days for a response.

*AUGUST 25 2017- Called Lori, Risk Management, at 4:57pm. No answer, left message. Called security supervisor Brandon at 4:59pm, says they have been under staffed and slow to respond. Says all paperwork, quotes and information was put on her desk. He said they admit 100% fault of damages.

*AUGUST 30 2017- Received call from Mike-new Risk Management manager at 4:54pm. Says they are denying claim because valet drivers say damages were noted upon arrival on driver headlight and driver front door. That information was false and I was told that Brandon does not have access to video surveillance. Mike said he will review the actual footage and call the next day between 330-400pm.

*AUGUST 31 2017- Mike called back about 345pm, saying claim still being denied because although the car pulled in with no damage, and pulled out with damage, there is no actual footage of the car being in contact with anything visibly on tape. I requested to see video footage and he chuckled and i was told I would need a court ordered subpoena. He had denied any sort of payment, but indeed admitted fault to damages. Says nothing will be done and no further information or calls are necessary, as they no longer have any business dealing with the situation and good luck attempting to potentially bringing the issue to small claims court.

Do NOT go here or Valet!! Everyone including management are very unprofessional and disrespectful. If you want to be taken advantage of then go here, if not stay clear. What a horrible business to have. These people should close their doors.

  134. Amanda Arizmendi say:

DO NOT GO HERE. Especially with valet. They take 100% fault and then tell you that they have nothing to do with it. See more reviews for damages done at their hand.

Wow! Shame on you Hollywood Casino!! With all the revenue you bring to the area, reading this young man’s review, he has every call and pictures, and even names documented. clearly, the maturity level of your security staff is appalling. The poor guy cannot even get the benefit of a doubt when obviously this incident was the fault of the valet department. It’s apparent that someone is in fear of losing their job. Someone needs to come forward and take responsibility for this. For his short visit, it’s going to cost him a deductible payment and a hike to his insurance premium. I hope he hires an attorney so you can pay for that as well. Just avoid the problem and pay for your mistake!
