    The process for ID verification for those under 30 is ridiculously slow. French Lick takes seconds, not minutes. What is really frustrating is that my sister downloaded the app to use her coupons for the buffet only to be told we had to go to guest services to get a paper copy. Therefore we had to go through the ridiculously slow ID process just to eat! What’s the point of the app if you can’t use it?

    I was in a wheelchair and a young lady named Lizette or Lezette assisted me and my friends in placing us in great seats. Lizette was extremely pleasant as well as the rest of the staff. I was there to see my cousin Babyface perform and because of Lizette and her crew my visit was amazing. Please make sure to Lizette know I am so grateful for the way she and her staff made me feel.     OMG… The new decorations is fabulous. Me and my husband go there a lot, my only problem is the pool is cold, every time I go there I can’t go in. They have a nice trail to work out outside, the buffet is delicious.

    ~My friend & I came here for a little adventure but we prob won’t come back. Some of the people who work here aren’t very friendly. I went up to the girl working at front desk was asking questions but it’s like I was cut short because she wanted to talk with her co-worker. The restaurants need to stay open a little later. Why is the buffet closed on Monday. Oh well won’t be back?

    Had a very good time, everyone for the most part was amazing. Had one blackjack dealer older woman kinda hateful. But, neither less we didn’t let her ruin the night. Security by name Albert went way and beyond to fill us in on things you had to offer. We won and meet some pretty good people. Definitely coming back..

    We stay at the hotel on a regular basis and spend alot of money during our stays there. Last night we stayed for my boyfriends birthday, mainly to have dinner at Jack Binions, which was beyond excellent, and to use the pool and hot tub area. unfortunately after our dinner we went down to the pool, which had been open prior to our dinner, and it was closed for maintenance. The “manager” I spoke with was very rude and told me she could do nothing to compensate for it because the pool is a “free amenity”. Sorry but nothing is free by any means at this place. I understand things happen beyond the control of the hotel, but to be told there was nothing they could do and be rude after all the money I’ve spent at the hotel, casino, and restaurants perhaps I need to start staying somewhere else. At the very least we could have been compensated in some way.

    Always a good time. But not Las Vegas it’s a good place to throw money away. Might win a dollar or two. They don’t make casinos for winners so you know what your doing when you go. Staff and rooms are new and both very nice. I’m a local and I go several times a year. Rather go there than Sitting around doing nothing’s . Always a good time.

    Very clean and updated rooms and casino. The staff in all positions were very attentive in greeting everyone, helpful, and polite! I would definitely recommend all to stay here.
    My only suggestion is free
    “adult beverages” while playing on the card tables or slots.

    I have stayed there several times and drove all the way there yesterday from Louisville to be told i can’t stay because my ID didn’t match my prepaid card.. When i told them they let me use it before. Kristie preceded to tell me that person probley got wrote up. Well did she because she has checked me in before… As a matter of fact i stayed there the weekend before with no problems… I love coming there but I’m extremely hurt about this……

    Went to a concert and the seating was horrible. All flat on the floor and too tight. I’m average size and so is my husband. We couldn’t put our arms down. Had to keep them crossed in front of us. The flat seating made it hard to see the stage and we were in good seats. The good part was the sound was great inside the room and it was easy to access. I would definitely book a balcony seat if I went back.

    The Willie Nelson show was fabulous, however, security was not doing their job keeping people out of the aisles so the people who were sitting down could enjoy the show. A lot of folks were getting annoyed.

    We stayed there recently had a great stay the room was wonderful, the food was good, service was a little slow but again we was not here in a Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. So I’m sure they were not fully staffed as if it was a Friday or Saturday. Would doing it again though.

    I will start with my visit before this last one. I was playing roulette, lots of people were at the table and at least 3-4 players betting inside and out with red chips. I asked at the beginning if I could get another color for $5 chips to avoid confusion. The table dealer turned the idea down. Anyways, I bet the 2nd 12 and so did another player, both of us playing red chips. He bet less than I did, when we won the spin, he took my chips. It was a tense few minutes while…

    It was great fun. We were with the North Hardin Lions Club as they were doing a fundraiser. My husband and I are not big casino people but we enjoyed trying to win something. Plus we loved the food and wine and beer too. Everybody is so friendly. The waitress at the bar is so nice and she remembers us every time. We go again next Sat.     But the last 2 times ive the been there I feel I got ripped off. Last time we were there u could have a gift card or money on ur card to gamble with I took the 10 on my card. When I got to the slot machine it show it than said can not process at this time I tried later and it was gone.     Games, especially the buffalo games suck. Way too tight. I play this game at casino’s all over united states. Play not really to win constantly, but I believe if you stop a hundred dollars on a game you should get some free spins or more than 15 minutes of play time.     I have the best of the casino hosts…Tiffany Johnson. What a birthday she helped me to celebrate. A friend and I were invited to dine at out choice of restaurants. Of course, not having been there, we chose Jack Binion’s. Oh, how I want to go back. The food, atmosphere, and wait staff were exceptional, just like my host, Tiffany.
    The biggest surprise was being presented a WHOLE birthday cake, right after we said we were too full to try a dessert. We ate a piece anyway.
    I have to say, it was an exceptional day and she made it possible. Thank you, Tiffany.

    I took my elderly father there for a visit for an evening of gambling. It surprises me that the outside of the facility doesn’t appear to have been updated in forever but I will say the inside of the facility and the casino is very nice. All the staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the evening but the only two times I’ve been there it seems to me that the slot machines pay off nothing. You would think you’d hit some money every now and then but for me i haven’t hit much besides returning my bet. I only played $1 and $.50 slots and played max bets each time but I have had NO luck at all either time I’ve been there.

    Way to smokey, games didn’t hardly pay at all for the money you spend, it seems like there was empty cups and full ash trays sitting at every machine I went to. A lot of the decor seemed out dated. It has been several years since I’ve been there and not much has changed except for the new barbcue restaurant. The elevator had tiles that was off and the doors going in from the parking lot was very dirty. I took my daughter there for her 21st birthday, I doubt I will be back after that.

    Came to get away drove from Nashville the hotel is big and beautiful I’ve stayed at a lot of Caesars location the rooms were newly renovated and they were so nice we ate at The Barbeque place and just could not even finish our meals just so much food drinks for a little expensive but poured heaven so that was okay at 8 the children have to leave the pool area so the adults can enjoy the quiet time I really love this place it was really great hope to come back again

    They charge for things other casino’s give away for free. $32 for 2 to eat at the Hotel’s “buffet” breakfast( at the hotel..NOT the casino’s) …Scrambled eggs, Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, toast, and grits for $16 per person!?!?!? $15 PER DAY…FOR WiFi?!?!?!? Both RIDICULOUS!!!!

    I had a room comped on Thursday night for me a d my friend that is on oxygen. We had to leave because the Hallway from the Hotel to the Casino way so hot it took her breath and had to go home to get on her big machine. We had no luck what so ever.
    I returned Friday and stayed all night with my Sister and friends. We were hoping to get to lounge by the pool…but it was closed. We went to Casino and could hardly get any playback. Rarely did we even get play money back.
    Stayed again Saturday night with my Sister and the check in fellow was as rude as you could possibly get! I was getting my Credit card put foe my Sister to use and he kept rolling his eyes! When I handed it to him…he accepted it without a Thank You….bit I did let him know he was welcome.
    The #3 elevator dropped 2 floors and was reported but never shut down.
    Other than the above bad experiences…other hotel staff and Casino Staff was Very professional and Kind.
    Returned again Sunday and one machine was pretty good to me. Definitely not near what I had spent for the weekend but descent time.
    Horseshoe Casino dosent comp or take care of their Casino as well as Belterra. So, we have reservations at Belterra for the next 2 nights and will spend 2 beautiful Days by their Pool with Great hospitality! Hope to win a little too!

    It was extremely nice. I think everything was a little more expensive than what it needed to be. Couldn’t believe how expensive mixed drinks on the boat were. The room was a little expensive I thought. Right down to the $12 bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich The staff was very kind and courteous. The valet parking was awesome, even when I came down to parking my oversized van. The hotel was very clean. My only complaint about the room was the hot and cold on the shower was backwards. Which was not a big deal except for the first time you used it, when you tried to turn the water temperature down you scalded yourself.

    If I could leave no stars I would , I go to mannnnyyyyy casinos this is by far the worst .. I am a roulette player An have been for years .. this is the only casino I’ve ever been to you can clearly see the roulette ball is magnetized , they do not have a compass on the table to show the ball is not magnetized … I personally watched the ball come completely out of the wheel An then back into the wheel .. also even with a slow spinning dealer the ball fall at 00 An vibrate 10-15 spots when you can clearly see the ball didn’t have the momentum on its own to do so .. I would put my life savings with an attorney against this place An win ! Tourist beware !! Drive a few more hours to ameristar in st Louis !! Atleast they prove to you the ball isn’t rigged !!! Never coming back ..

    2nd time I’ve stayed here. The first time was great! The rooms are clean and the price is reasonable. I went with my younger daughter to try and have dinner at JB’s. We were confronted by staff when trying to cross to the boat. The woman was extremely rude and screamed at my daughter, in turn making her very upset. The fact that she had to make a huge scene in front of customers was uncalled for. She could have pulled us aside. I can understand that children are not allowed to be on the casino floor, but NO WHERE did I read that kids were not allowed to dine at JB’s. If this is the case then it should be posted on the website and in the rooms.

    Hotel was nice and updated. There was a lots of walking(but we don’t mind), casino was VERY out dated. Hardly any “new-ish” games. Casino was also very tight(didn’t pay)! Buffet didn’t open until 10:30 for breakfast (who eats breakfast that late?). Apparently the chippendales were there when we were, and they put us right next door! So no sleeping for us! ? Overall, not sure if I’ll go back!

    I recently had my first stay at the hotel as I live in Louisville and usually just visit and then go home. Everything room wise was wonderful. My only complaint would be that when checked into Wi-Fi it was a $15 fee. I just think that is a little absurd considering if guests are paying for a room and gambling, and all the other food, drink, & shops etc. That should be at least complimentary…

    I was up at the casino the other night and needed to use the restroom. I am the owner of a taxi company. My driver had went in to use the bathroom no problem. when I went to go in the lady at valet told me I needed to give her my keys. I said what am I supposed to pee on the side of the building like the guy just did. she said yes you can. I declined and reported it to the lady I called at the horseshoe telephone number. I also talked to someone in valet and was hung up on. I then left the boat and told them I would not be back. I also talked to the valet manager the next day he sided with the lady in valet as I figured he would. He said that if they haven’t been asking for my keys all along it was an oversite but I needed to follow their rules. I told him I or my drivers would not be back and his responce was fine. My thing is if your going to have rules it should be posted for the taxi drivers to see. this to me is unacceptable. I will be speaking to others about this. It will not end here.     I’ve been going there for over 6 years and at first the comps and offers received we’re really good. Free play money good for each week of the month now when the free play money it is for certain days of the week. Hey offers for free gifts too. Only thing is you have to earn lots and lots of credits to get anything.

    Belterra the comps and offers are easier to get. Their free play rewards are higher dollarvamounts, they have car giveaways every month, and even cash giveaways you can enter for real often.

    I had an ok stay. No real big issues. I would have like my vip host to introduce themselves​ but it never happened. The rooms are clean and good in size. I did have one small issue, when we stepped off the elevator there was dust flying around due to maintenance on the tile floor so my asthma got out of control for a while. Everyone was polite and said hello in passing. Only one person DONNA at the tables carried on an actual conversation with us and i dont even play cards! No payouts but thats why they call it gambling. No comps for being vip. After all i spend it seems like they would recognize and do more for those.

    I have been coming to this casino since it first opened as Caesers. The days when you would wait in line to load unto the boat. The days when it was fun because it would keep you playing, not eat up $100 in 10 minutes. The days of affordable eateries and no resort fees. There was access to the pool and fitness room just because you stayed at the hotel. Now they charge $15, basically for wifi. The days when the comps were fair and you could actually get a free buffet every now and then. The days when the casino was clean.
    The rooms have been updated and are very nice, but the casino is so dirty. We typically visit in the mornings and there’s not a clean slot to sit at. Cups, bottles, food and food containers, full ashtrays and ashes everywhere.. Dust so thick on top of the machines that you can literally write in and not a cleaning person to be found. Peeling wallpaper, torn carpet.
    This is my “home casino” since it’s the closest to me, but it’s gotten so bad I prefer to drive 30 minutes further to not have to pay a resort fee, better comps, affordable eating and very clean casino with up yo date, popular slots. There’s a section on the 3rd floor, to the right, in the back that have had the same old slots for 10 years or more.
    It has really gone down hill in the last year or so. Very sad

    I truly love coming here. I try to come twice a month and usually stay 4-5 days. Unfortunately Lady Luck has yet to shine on me but hey that’s gambling. Love the new rooms and the food is awesome. I have eaten at all the restaurants except Binion’s Steakhouse and have yet to be disappointed. My only complaint is kids being still in the pool way past 8 at night.

    I haven’t been there for several years. We are celebrating a couple of birthdays in Oct. I called to get the rates for Oct 28 for 4 rooms and it was a little more than us ladies really wanted to pay. so I was told that we could get better rates for that Sun night. At the time I didn’t want to change the date because my mothers birthday was the 28th not the 29th. When I talked to my mother she said the 29th was fine so I called back. By the time I called back rates went up 10.00 more ,no not a lot it was just the principle of it but I still preceded to make the reservations for the 4 rooms. Then I was told that I had to make a deposit for the 1st night that would have been fine if I just paid a fourth of it but I had to pay for all 4 rooms up front . I was booking 4 rooms and wanted to hold them but I was not paying for them all up front 3 months early. I stay many places and have no problem with a deposit to hold them but to pay over 500 up front that was not going to happen. You can stay in Evansville Indiana Casino and they do not operate that way. I am highly disappointed with the way this way handled.

    This place has really deteriorated in the last 5 years…used to love going here, now the buffet is awful, no longer can get a comp’d room even though they send you a flyer indicating you can. Freeplay used to be decent now it sucks. I am a platinum player with the Total Rewards Visa which I use all the time, and I checked my offers for tonight and it said $5.00. WTF – I get more from the HardRock in Vegas and have only been there once. I can see this place sinking in to the Ohio soon. I much rather give my money to a nicer casino such as Belterra or the casinos in Biloxi MS. Keep your petty $5.00 and awful food. The food inside the casino is MUCH better than this cold ass buffet they try to serve you.

    I had a GR8 time at the Horseshoe Casino,stayed 2 night comp rooms,received casino play, for night,Saturday l received 2 shell gifts cards, on Sunday l received another gift, it was Jim Beam cast iron skillet set,very nice, also l received my casino play, nice, all my meals were comp all weekend, l really enjoy myself at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana, if l ask for anymore, l be stilling, looking forward to going back to the Horseshoe Southern Indiana,it’s the best casino!!!

    Old steak was left in our room, tub was broken, it was a non smoking room but seemed to be a smoking room. There was a loud rushing water or air noise in the wall that was not from the empty rooms beside us it happened all night and came in waves it was so loud. We were on the 7th floor.

    I was harassed by security after I was done working at the bar. He thought I was drunk since I was sweaty walking 8 miles back to my car. He wouldn’t let me use the elevator so I had to take the stairs to my car. Then he followed me back to my car. After I told him I was working and not drunk a few times. I was worried that he might try to get into my car or stop me from leaving the same way he blocked me from the elevator. This is really makes me not want to ever come up there ever. People have rights. I could understand if I fell down or had slurred speech.

    Saw 38 Special concert and was blocked from seeing the show by a fat lady that would never sit down. She kept dancing the whole time. We were in the balcony so normally you could see everything and not have to stand. We told the usher and he said your not supposed to lean on the glass and she was obviously way over it. He said he was on his way to move her and her girlfriends but never did. Super disappointed. Will never go back

    The rooms were very clean and nice. The Smoke & Rye restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Most of the staff was helpful & friendly. My biggest complaint is when you pay $140-$160 a night PLUS a $15 resort fee for each night, one would think 24 hour complimentary coffee would be included. $4.00 for coffee from the cafe (room coffee isn’t the same) is ridiculous when you’re spending so much at the hotel & Casino. Give people free coffee, I mean really. Even lower star hotels include free coffee. I think you can afford it.

    This casino has gone down hill… Dirty machines, over flowing ash trays, no floor servers and only saw 1 security guard…Looks like they got rid of 90% of their employees… I went to bar on 4th. floor and it was closed. Went to bar on 3rd. floor for bottle water and they gave me the smallest bottle of water I’ve ever seen. Maybe 2 drinks of water in bottle… I guess they can’t afford water and employees… Maybe that’s why no one seemed to be winning on slot machines…Picked up their list of daily winners sheet and it was only 1 page and small winnings… It use to be 4 pages… Perhaps they are getting ready to go out of business, if Kentucky passes law for casinos… I will travel a few more miles to the many other casinos, before i go back to Horseshoe…
