    It would have gotten a five but for the buffet staff. I had a credit which apparently to them means you can be rude and act like you’re doing the person a favor. In truth the information they gave while snooty was helpful. They have great rooms but no refrigerator.

    Well casino was nice but the housekeeping sucked. This is only time I had to request my room be cleaned. Called at 5:30 cause room wasn’t cleaned said they would send someone right up. Came back at nine room still wasn’t cleaned. Called again they said someone would be right up never did. Went to front desk told them. Guy said manager would be up at our room in fifteen minutes and never showed. If I pay one hundred ninety nine dollars per night plus spend money gambling I expect a clean room.

    I love this place, myself and my husband go alot. The food is amazing. The only complaint I have is that it takes so long to earn a comp. I feel like if you gamble continuously for hours you shold atleast earn a buffet.

    I was there New Year’s Eve and had a issue and went to the host which got their supervisor during our conversation between 845 and 9 pm at the host desk which should be on camera I presented my card which is gold level and she threw it I found it very disrespectful I have never been treated this poorly before my host at southland park and rio Las Vegas were surprised I will be taking my play elsewhere I guess 350 k in play per year doesn’t matter to them

    We always have fun there! (Except when he loses haha) Food is great, but wish the steak house had more vegetarian options. Our host, Trisha, is wonderful. The rooms we’ve had are very nice and super clean.

    As always I had a great time in the casino! The buffet for the first time was not as good as my other visit. Some of the food needed attention and some items were out people had to wait for it to be cooked.

    We went for the crab legs and sadden to say they was horrible. People drive and travel all the way to tunica Mississippi Casino not just to Gamble but for the crab leg buffet also. Change the crab legs back to what they were. It you can afford to do it right then removed them from your menu.

    This was my first trip to a casino and I loved it! The hotel room was a good size and the water pressure in the shower was fabulous! We encountered friendly staff at every turn and at 3am I had the best quesadilla I have ever eaten. Will be visiting again!

    My wife and I stayed here this weekend to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The security working the entrances were real jerks to us all weekend. We were asked to show our ID every time we went to eat, use the bathroom or if we just had a question and asked them something about the casino. These guys were absolutely mean. One person even argued with me about my ID not being me. For one I had a weekend reservation in the hotel and second I’m pushing 40, so it’s not like I look young. We came here with a thousand dollars to blow and have fun in the casino and we tried really hard to do that but the staff made that difficult. The people working the tables were even rude and hateful at times. The best part of our stay was that the room was really nice and the restaurants in the casino was really good. But I won’t drive 3 hours to be treated the way that we were again. Gold Strike is a very nice looking place, and spite the issues with the staff we still had a good time celebrating our anniversary, but I don’t think we would choose to voluntarily be treated that way again.

    Always a wonderful experience. Atmosphere, food, people, slot payouts. Watched football in the newly remodled VIP lounge and had great wings.

    I like this place so much that I actually go there for solace to work on books that I write.

    I am not at all pleased with my stay at the hotel. Upon arrival to check in the young lady couldn’t find one of my reservations, so we were waiting a long time for her to find it. Holding up the line. Once she found the reservation here comes the next problem, I had two rooms they were supposed to be conjuring rooms but, somehow that got screwed up and a manager had to be contacted to fix that issue. Then we head to the rooms and come to find out after all the waiting and “fixing” the problem we were Not in a conjuring room. We had to go back to the desk and find yet another manager to fix the third issue! What a shame! I’m thinking at this point ok hopefully things go smoothly from here. Wrong again, because I booked these rooms for my son’s 12 year old birthday so the kids would be able to swim. I had 5 kids with his birthday crew. I have been to this hotel maybe 3 times and I NEVER had a issue with my 2 children swimming! But on this day we were greeted by the SPA Employee (RUDE) telling the kids to get out of the pool. I was wondering was he security the way he approached us. Anyway he said they were not old enough to be in there. I was there the whole time watching them. He said only 18 years or older can be in the pool area. That’s okay if that’s the rules but, that doesn’t apply to everyone because, I have seen several other kids in the pool including my 2 several times! When you book your room they should let it be known that we do have a indoor pool but, only 18 years and older can swim! Very disappointed! Oh, and when I tried to take them to get food at the buffet to no surprise it was closed!!! The kids had nothing to do but to stay in the room and watch tv and play games! I would give 0 stars if that was a option

    We go about every 2months to goldstrike. This weekend my husband was told we had 2 comps for buffet by the pit boss. We stand in line for about 45 minutes and then was told he didn’t have them on his card. Then was told we had to go back to tables to straighten out and come back. Well by that time we said forget it and paid for the buffet. We were at Beau Rivage at Christmas break and that happened to us and they called and straighten it out then and there. Very disappointed because we are very loyal customers to Goldstrike. My husband wants to try another casino . We live 15min away and go often.

    I paid for my girl friend a massage and sent her down with more than enough to cover the cost plus tip but was told it was higher that advertised on their website. I went back down and confronted them and I was told that she had told them to change the website. Not good enough for me. Will not be back for a massage.

    Everything was wonderful my entire stay. Security, staff, servers, etc….were all beyond friendly. Room was clean, however, there were on 2 pillows on a king bed. Called front desk & they immediately brought me 2 more pillows. See you soon GS….�

    I book for 2 kings bed and all I got 2 queen size bed I have medical conditions the smell of cigarettes and I brought my mom with me which I haven’t seen her since I was 5 yrs old I just wish that the room were better

    My husband and I came for our first visit last weekend and LOVED it. We’ve been to probably 10 casino towns and upwards of 30 casinos, and this is our 2nd favorite. All staff was exceptional. The people at the buffet were all genuinely nice. Food was SO good! The hotel room was spotless. Can’t wait to come back!

    I’m the wrong person to ask after paying $50 for 2 buffets and my husband ate nasty pizza because they took our money at 9:00 at 9:30 was told they weren’t putting any more food out when there wasn’t any food out at 9:00 and as we are leaving was told at 9 they stop putting food out…,but they sure took our money at 9…..they were not overly busy at all…..as we left I asked what’s the deal to the cashier and he said “that’s just the way it is”….never got to see a food and beverage manager, one was called….cause the more I thought about it the madder I got. And the casino host desk was really nice….but they didn’t do anything either. Didn’t even get to rant at the right person. We didn’t play there, I got my hair wet braving the rain and went to horseshoe!

    The $25.00 buffet was a joke. There were not nearly enough selections at each station. The two 3/4 eaten pizzas that were left were ice cold. Only a few dessert choices. Also, after waiting 45 minutes for a cocktail waitress my husband went to the bar and was told his beer would be $5.00!!! Need to be considerable changes before we return.

    After a week at work i had a friend and i decided to go out to the buffet to relax i don’t agree with the price of the buffet when most places offer the samething for 19.99 but i needed to get away so i paid it… everything was good other than the price and having to fix our drinks including refills… whats the point of servers?

    It wasnt very enjoyable. You could not get a drink. They had very few or no servers on duty. It took over 30 minutes to get a players card and worst of all the machines were so tight no one was winning. You go to a Casino expecting to lose but you never expect to be sucked dry so quickly.

    This was my first visit in over 10 years. Thought I would give y’all another try, but sad to say, it was not a very good visit. When you go to play the more fun you have the longer you stay. My small cup of coffee was $3 and no one ever came around to offer drinks while I played. Sad you have such a pretty place.

    We got tired and decided to go to our rooms but stopping by in hallway to get 2 bottled waters first…. paid over $4.00 for liter of water… but yet for $2.00 in vending machine by our room. Makes no sense. The food was great and huge variety…. but I DO NOT AGREE with as many kids under the age of 10 running around in hallways or at restaurant. Some of the dealers we had were awesome… roulette table upstairs and 21+3 dealer downstairs named John. John had the patriot skull ring on and made our time at his table very entertaining. If you have company meetings over these reviews, he will know me as “the captain” and my wife as “the princess” . This is the type of folks you need . You go, not just for food, gambling . But GOOD TIME and entertainment. The roulette dealer this morning… spoke only 7 words to me. After doubling my money in 20 minutes… I was bored with him and walked out.

    Overall we had a great time here! Staff was excellent in checking everyone in quickly (there was quite a line when we arrived). Room was clean and spacious. The lady at the mLife counter was a doll! She was so sweet and efficient. Dinner buffet was delicious! The upstairs (smoke free) casino left something to be desired, so we ended up playing on the main casino floor. Our blackjack dealer, Bobby, was AMAZING! He made our night SO much fun! We played, we won, had a great time! The only complaint is have is about the room doors. For the first hour we were in our room, the people in the room next to us were constantly opening and closing their dior. It sounded like it was our door opening and closing. At 6am Saturday morning, we were woken up to security banging on the door…of the room next to us. With as nice as the place is, I’d expect to not hear everything in the hallway quite so loudly.

    The hubby & I stayed there because, we had death in the family & we had a three day offer which, they comped our room for three days and gave us $200 in table play & a free buffet for two. I thought by it being a MGM brand that the rooms would have been updated, but other than that, we had a marvelous time with family.

    We went on Friday till Sunday had so much fun. Dined at Chicago Steakhouse Friday it was excellent. The Atrium on Saturday night it was very good. Also had room service. All the staff we encountered was very welcoming and attended to our needs. Great place to visit..

    Racial profiling by black waitresses at that. Then all the other employees gave me the run around about filing a complaint. I understand waitresses work for tips but you have to actually serve a person before they can tip you. I got ignored by 2 different black waitresses and I’m black myself. It took me literally 45 minutes just to get 1 drinK while I stood by and watched the white customers get served almost automatically. One waitress even took my order and when I caught back up with her she told me the Casino was all out of modelo. Really! I will never take another dime of my hard earned money there again. You lost a loyal customer fellas, just check the cameras.

    Just spent Friday and Sat. nights at Goldstrike. As usual, I teceived excellent service from valet, bellman, front desk, cleaning staff. No complaints regarding ghe seafood buffett on Friday night. Comp rooms and meals. Actually I just booke a comp romm for a couple of weeks from now.

    Its ok. Almost impossible to get attention of the staff though. There were a couple that kept walking when we tried to ask them a question. Near impossible to get any wins on the slots we played. Its our first time down here and may be our last. Not sure yet.

    We have eaten there before and it was great. The crab legs were amazing. But last night had to be the worse crab legs I have ever had. They were so salty you couldn’t hardly eat them. Have very little meat in them and they were like rubber. I don’t know we’re your getting them from but it is not the same place you did before.

    We drive all the way there just to have the all u can eat crab legs. We stand in the longest line in history then get up there and the lady “throws” 4 crab legs on ur plate and said thank ya! � rude is an understatement. We get back to the table go to eat the crab and u can’t even brake them u had to peel them apart!!! Then u get a little piece of meat out and bite into it and it’s like u just bit into a soft Cube of nothing but salt! I will not be back!

    Ice machine broke on my floor. Had to go up 2 more floors to get ice..

    Wth is going on with the room keys being deactivated. No they were not by my phone or debit chip card. Not once not twice but 3 times I had to go back down to get a room key. Only to be treated like it was my fault.

    Deli down stairs. Pickles or whatever. After 9. Before 2. Is it just one person taking orders, cooking, and carrying out?? And while everyone is waiting. They bring everything out at once. Etc… First order comes out when the 5-6th order comes out!! Wth???

    At checkin yesterday without notice my card was charged 238 bucks and was only supposed to be 40 then the give us 2 buffets for the inconvenience and tell me to charge it to the room and it will be taken care off I go back up after we ate only after realizing they had charged my card another 116 bucks needless to say it was a short stay since off the bat I’m negative 350 without even gambling yet we will not be back anytime soon hot tub was broke spa was overbooked Pepsi was almost 5 bucks

    The band was so awesome, waitresses were fast and friendly. One really heavy set lady (slot attendant) was slow and lazy.. With a permanent frown on her face. The lines at the snack bar we way too long. Cigarettes cost $15.00 a pack. Had fun at the bar. stay away from the slots though.. l Didn’t see many people winning and I was definitely looking. My friend dropped probably two grand in the “Chinese babies” game.. playing the max, never got a hit over $90. That should be illegal!!!; Still have to give it a 5 for the band and the crowd.

    First time there last night… Nice place… Band was good.. Very slow service trying to get a drink while playing,,, VERY SLOW…. Lines were too long and slow at all the places to eat… Had to skip dinner because it would have taken too long… The woman in the gift store was not friendly at all and acted as though she was annoyed that she had to check me out at the register after buying gifts for my wife… The slots are way too tight.. I played over a dozen slot machines for about 5 hours… Could not hit anything worth a darn. I just kept feeding money in.. None of them paid out at all… Very disappointed…

    Years ago I would stop by for the seafood when I was in the area (especially the steamed clams). Last night I stopped by again. The line was long and four women in front of us let at least 8 people cut line (5 guys were parking the car) I and others were quite upset. I told the cashier and told me that’s ok as long as they are in the group. After I paid, I thought I was in correct line, but it wasn’t moving. I went in another line (I didn’t know it was the exit line). The line wasn’t moving due “the group” was blocking the process of setting people. The dining room manager said cutting line was acceptable in a group situation and then proceeded to seat me. If the dining room had any brains and decency, they would have asked to group to meet in the lobby and when everybody arrived THEN get in line together and any late arrivals get at the end of the line. I don’t think I’ll be returning. Didn’t have clams anyway.🦐

    My husband and I stopped in for a two night stay on our way home from Biloxi at the Beau Rivage. I assumed since this was an MGM resort it would be comparable to the one in Biloxi and the ones in Vegas. Boy was I wrong. The food at the buffet was just average, long wait times on drinks while playing, our room was filthy, internet connection and phone reception were sketchy, and could smell marijuana in the room next to ours. Our toilet only flushed half the time and the machines didn’t pay much of anything at all in comparison to other casinos. We checked out a day early and won’t be returning to this property again most likely. I’ll stick to the other MGM resorts from now on and am disappointed in the Gold Strike.

    We love your hotel. We’ve always had a great time here. My only complaint with this visit is the cashiers at the Pickle and Jam place were very rude and disrespectful. I overheard them talking about the wait for food was 45 minutes. I asked nicely if I heard her correctly, it would be 45 minutes even for just a bowl of soup. Her response was “uh yeah” very cocky tone. This happened right at 9pm Saturday March 25th. We did not order any food.

    My first casino hotel; not impressed. I’m not a regular gambler, so I don’t know if all casinos are this way, but these rooms need updating. Lack of USB power outlets, low res cable tv, not so comfortable beds and pillows.
    If I was not here for a Golf tournament, I would not have chosen these accommodations. I’m guessing because they comp so many M-club patrons and they don’t want you too long in your room, there is no reason to update in 2017?

    I usually come there every year for my birthday , March 27th Monday , as I did this year. Although I visited the property at 4 times last year and, the service in the casino have gotten drastically worst. I never saw anyone for hours, then when did they never came by me. I started playing around 8pm and, never got a drink until about 1am. I had to wave my hands in the air to get her attention. The slot machines didn’t pay good at all !!! I was betting a dollar and i was getting 2 &4 cents , that happened in between some reasonable payouts. I had to Stop and look at the machine, lol. I know you take a chance, when you’re gambling, but My Goodness, it’s Not Fun when you Feel your being Robbed. I was put in #643 and it was clean but, all the glass was dusty. It probably hadn’t had anyone stay in it lately. I left a tip anyway ! The food was okay, It seemed the quality is getting worse though. I Don’t think I will go back anymore, I drive over 3hrs one way from Nashville TN. I hope you all Do something about this complaints. I will be reading more post from time to time. If I continue to see the Negative I Will Never Come Back Again !

    We visit Gold Strike at least once a month but this last trip was not so good. No internet service and we were there for 4 days. Two elevators were broke which resulted in very long lines and waits . I put my freeplay in an older machine and lost it completely, it disappeared and they would not do anything about it. The machines are dirty and grimy with ashes all over them and they stay that way. I should not have to clean up the machines before I play them! Of course the patrons that smoke should be more considerate but they don’t care. I never see staff cleaning them. We have been coming here for many years but think we may try a different place next time. I am giving Gold strike a fair rating because staff is great here and I love that I don’t have to wait on my room when I arrive. But things are going down hill.

    housekeeping skipped our room altogether one of the three days we were there. It took a couple of calls to the front desk just to get some clean towels for the next morning.
    The Wi-Fi is nearly nonexistent. I understand that MGM wants people out of the rooms, and into the casino, but there ARE people that rely on internet service to stay in touch with their business, check home security, follow up on weather, etc.
    I asked the front desk if there is some sort of “magic” that I was missing out on, and the response I got was “well, it can be a challenge”.
    We stayed here last year, and the internet is far worse now. Better wi fi at motel 6

    Had a great time watching Tyler Kitchen and the Right Pieces at Stage 2. Unfortunately, our room had an air conditioner that did not properly work, the floor we slept on smelled like pot, and there were issues with Wi Fi.     I came and played on Easter Sunday. I lost well over $1000 and they have me down only losing $471 and will not give me comp points they only checked me in to one table playing for 2.5 hours when I played all night and checked into 5 different tables. I called and tried to get them to fix it and no luck. Been going for years and I’m very disappointed. This screws up my whole trip for Las Vegas because I was going to use my comp points for rooms.

    Just finished my 3rd stay in 2 years. I’ve only been to Vegas twice. So, I don’t really have too much of a reference. I’ve read comments here. I’d say it’s what I expected. I’ve won big and I’ve lost big, on table games & slots. I do wish they had Live poker, so I wouldn’t have to walk next door, but it’s a short walk. Yes I’ve felt like I was just throwing money away on most slots just to try to hit Gold status, but it also felt the same in vegas most of the time, which is why people should learn table games or bring money to lose for entertainment. I’d assume it’s all regulated, for the most part, to be the same. Maybe I’m wrong. If you want more entertainment, go to Vegas, but if you like gambling, pretty good food, bed and a shower….. it’s got all you need. Minus a bad apple or two, everyone on staff has always been nice. I’ve actually waited way longer at Aria in Vegas for drinks and had way more arrogant “no personality” staff in Vegas, which did shock me because It’s Vegas! People must realize this is a business and they can’t control every employee’s attitude at the rate they probably have to pay the employees. On the flip side, Management can’t be afraid to lose employees by demanding a higher standard in some areas. I have no doubt it’s a constant struggle. I sincerely hope when someone is upset & and takes the time to post here, management actually addresses it. Some employees won’t care. It’s the nature of the game in a business that size and location, somewhat off the beaten path. Overall, I’ll be back because I like gambling, I play enough to get good comps with MLife, it’s the closest to me with these MLife perks, it’s never been too crowded, compared to its neighbor, and everyone treats me nice. People around Nashville say Tunica in general is going down hill because they need more around the casinos. I’m not sure how it was vs. how it is now, but it’s the underlying tone I hear. Keep your head up, Gold Strike! I like you, and really want you to stay alive and thrive. I need my MLife pts and my 2-3 times a year gambling fix. See you soon!

    We stayed at Gold Strike for our first weekend ever in Tunica and had a very negative experience. There were four of us on this vacation and absolutely all of us had a bad time. The rooms smelled terrible and there was a lot of outside noise that was not being controlled in the hallway. Lots of yelling that went totally unnoticed. There were several things turned bad in the buffet we spent $40 on for two. On top of that the casinos winning percentages must have been way down as all four of us lost our butts. Not sure if we will be returning to Gold Strike casinos or any of their affiliates after this experience.

    We had a great time attending a function at Gold Strike but my post addresses the service and housekeeping in our room. We had four meals at the hotel and if you’re in a hurry, then grab a snack at Pickles & Jam because we waited over an hour for lunch at Atrium and again for dinner at Chicago Steakhouse. Neither restaurant was busy so it’s obviously a problem in the kitchen or short staffed. What topped it off was housekeeping in our room. We checked in so late the first night we didn’t notice the bathroom but the next day, we found a huge stain on the wall next to the toilet. Don’t even want to speculate on what it is but it shouldn’t be there if you’re going to book the room. We brought it to the attention of the front desk manager & housekeeping and they apologized and said they could take care of it for the NEXT guest and offered no accommodations to us. We travel a lot and feel fortunate to stay in nice places. For the amount of money we paid, we expect at minimum a clean room.

All he did was make excuses….. And as far as the gambling on the slots…..i felt like I was throwing my money in an open flame….. Never won over $3 or$4 on any one spin… Lost $60 in 30 minutes then went to my room to watch TV…… NO big rush for me to go back…. Scale of 1-10 on whole experience………3

    Poor food selection, and everything closes so early, buffet was pretty good. lack of entertainment. Staff was ok with the exception of security. Once you have asked for my ID 3 times within 3 hours it gets annoying especially when I don’t see you asking anyone else. Security management only tried to flatter me and tell me I look young, pay attention and do your job honestly and be fair.
    Room was great, big bathroom, comfortable bed, nice size tv, extra chairs, etc. View of parking deck/half torn down old casinos/river was terrible.
    Wasn’t a memorable experience so I probably won’t be returning.

    Just stayed 3 days at Gold Strike in Tunica, Ms. Rooms were great, food just okay, and housekeeping was okay.
    Casino staff was not friendly or welcoming, and staff at check-in acted as if it was an aggravation to check us into our room. Slots were the tightest I have ever seen, I never saw a single card dealer interact with players at the tables or act like they enjoyed their job.
    Management really needs to consider having some training for all their employees. Take them over to Horseshoe Casino to observe how to interact with the players. Needless to say that, we will opt not to stay here again.

    The room was exceptional. The beds were unlike other places that give you a rock to sleep on. These were very cozy and comfy. There was a bit of dust tho. The restaurant we went to was the Americana. It was ok but NOT worth the price so we didnt bother with the other restaurants. There are a lot of other things to do and see nearby if you want to drive a bit.
    The casino is like any other. Electronic slots and card games. Overall, it was a good experience.

    Stayed Sunday the 28th was a paying customer on our way to Biloxi MS Beau Rivage room was very nice and stayed Thursday June 1st on our way back from Biloxi we had a Comp night OMGOSH Horrible!!!! Started with the King/Non-Smoking REEKED of smoke the phone didn’t work so I called down stairs using my cellphone, they gave us a new room still smelled like smoke the bed had two flat pillows wasn’t any extra in the closet I asked the young lady who was cleaning the room next to us about getting some pillows she said she had one, gave me the one off her cart (No Pillow Case) told me to call down for another…..I took the pillow of course I didn’t us it called down at 4:30pm and at 9:45 pm we still hadn’t received pillows…..then our TV wasn’t working right fuzzy picture and the air conditioning wasn’t cooling good!!!!!! Huge difference between a paying customer and a Comp customer we won’t be back!!!!

    I have stayed several times here, as a matter of fact it’s the one we have always stayed in. Except for one time. I am disappointed in our room this time, the sink was messed up, the toilet was clogged with feces when we arrived. We called the maintenance and he came and unclogged it, but it clogged right back up again. This kind of thing makes me wonder exactly how clean the place is, if they did not even notice that the toilet had been stopped up. I had to clean the toilet before we could even use, thank God for antibacterial wipes!!!

I had an omelette prepared in front of me and the buffet fee covered my drink so I was able to have a mimosa with it. Oh and if you like crab legs you will love them! The scenery is nice.     Saturday night dinner buffet was a nightmare!! Half way through a thirty minute wait, they started reservations? After an hour, we got a table. Then we got in line for the serving stations. It took 20 minutes to get to the server who was serving prime rib and when I got there they were out of prime rib!! The crab line was a thirty minute wait so we basically ate the salad bar!!

Noise from hallway sucked. But had some super fast elevators. Took about 15 seconds to go 30 stories lol. Buffet was good. Saturday breakfast was $48 dollars for two people. Went to Waffle House and spent $24. Lol.

    Our room was nice. Everyone was friendly in the hotel. We ate at Pickle & Jam first because everything else was closed at 3pm on Friday. Cafeteria style food isn’t exactly what I had in mind on 3 day kid free weekend celebrating our 15th anniversary. Cheeseburgers was yummy. Later we tried the buffet. It was all seafood. I don’t like seafood so it was very difficult to find something I liked. I paid a fortune and left hungry. Meanwhile the casino slot machines was the tightest I have ever seen!!!!! Never hit anything more than $50. Saturday morning we ate at the Atrium. Our sever was amazing and the food was pretty good. Well except the bacon. It was completely tasteless!!!! Which is sad for bacon. We went back for dinner and was sadly disappoint. We both got the ribs that where drowning in sauce with no flavor other than sauce. Coleslaw was terrible and couldn’t be eaten. Their beans was yummy. We tried some more slots and still no luck at all. I wasn’t looking to become a millionaire but at least let people win a little to keep them playing. We put $100 in a within 5mins be broke. It was crazy. I never seen machines so tight ever. And I seen no one winning around me the entire 3 days we was there. The highlight of our stay was the Big N Rich concert and Fortag playing at the bar!! Like I said everyone was nice but I left there knowing I won’t ever come back. The Gold Strike is lacking something. It needs something exciting like the sounds of people winning and machines paying off.

    We booked a room for 4 people with 2 beds for my husband and myself, and his parents. There were only 2 wash rags and 2 towels. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Tv did not work. I requested a fan at reservation, but didn’t get it. Could not sleep at all that night because the hallway noise was HORRIBLE–people hollering down the halls and talking loudly and running down halls after midnight….i could have possibly slept if they had brought me the fan. We ate at the Americana buffet. It was seafood night, and although I don’t eat seafood, I figured there would be other options. There really wasn’t much to choose from that wasn’t seafood, and what was available wasn’t anything to brag about. You have to get and refill your own drinks. The food and “service” was definitely not worth what we paid to eat there, which was $65 for both me and my husband. The staff at the Mlife counter and check in weren’t friendly. Although the bell hops were really nice.
    We paid $230 for a one night stay in this “luxury” hotel and to be honest, I’ve had better experiences and food at cheaper hotels. I expected better out of this place since it rated #1 on tripadvisor… We won’t be back.

    The check in process was great and it went downhill from there. The slots were tight tight tight!!!! The buffet didn’t have many options for the price you pay and the service was horrible. We didn’t get our empty plates removed from the table so we had to stack them on top of each other and push them to the side. Not enough towels in the room and the air was not working properly. The snack stand is totally too expensive (a bag of chocolate nuts is over $7.00) and a drink out of the machine is $1.75. This place is making plenty of money from the casino and the hotel, why does everything else has to cost an arm and a leg and probably a couple of fingers too!!!! Will not be returning!!!!!

    Went to Sam’s town first and ate their buffet for 8 dollars then moved on to gold st egg like where I had a room well needless to say there wasn’t much pay out on the machines so we decided to go to the buffet America bad choice should have went back to Sam’s town and ate it was 8 dollars at gold strike it 28 dollars after my 20 dollar food credit if I would have been somewhere else I probably would have asked for my money back.The room was good but the food was not worth the money I probably could have ate in the steak house for not much more.

    I have celebrated my July 4th birthday with an over night stay, double beds for four (2 daughters and one grandbaby), ate at the buffet then again for breakfast before checking out the hotel. Tuesday July 4 valet and bell hopper was polite. Checkin went smoothly, guest services was also polite and advise of my free play, the staff security checked my daughter (the guy had a little humor which is great), buffet line wasn’t too long of a wait then we ate without two pinky adult children and actually they enjoyed the buffet this time around…the pasta station was busy but she did an awesome job, slot machine winnings was low (didn’t even win $100 ok at less this my three year going for my birthday and never won anything over $100), buffet for breakfast and I recommend chicken and waffle to be added on the menu…the reason is I snagged breakfast at 1020a they started bringing out the lunch stuff at 11:50 I grabbed a few pieces of fried chicken and though wow only if it was available to have with a waffle. But other then that my overall staff was great.

    It is the most friendly casino I’ve ever stayed at or visited and I’ve seen a lot I lived in Vegas for 3 yrs. The food is great and the rooms are very clean and spacious. The gaming is fun and everyone is always so helpful. My husband and I try to visit at least 6 times a yr. We always stay over too.     We come about 4 times a year and I must say this will be my last time. I have been lied to every single time I make a reservation for my birthday about getting a suite. When you call the 1 800 number they say sure just let them know at the front desk you have enough comps. Well….When i get to front desk 3 times now, it’s a story how they don’t have any available, its for the casino host…slots are very tight. The hotel looks nice but is really Dusty, smells like smoke, 2 flat pillows for. King bed is a joke! The buffet used to be the BEST in tunica! Now, it seems like slop and self service for drinks is NOT worth the 60.00 for 2 people to eat. Maybe NOT have seafood every single friday and Saturday would be awesome too!

    The room was nice and clean; The machine’s tightest , I had ever seen. in a casino. I dropped 200. in 15 mins. on the slots. The Buffet was the best of all. I loved the seafood , on friday night. Well, the players club ; well that is another story. I got inline, evidently the wrong line, I was humilated in front of everyone , she raised her voice at me, and told unless I was a gold card holder, I was to stand over on the left in the other line. Well, I didn’t know What color my card was or status, was just there and had just walked in from a long 8 hours of driving to get my player club card. She treated me like trash, and like I was very low class. I told her i didn’t have my card with me, left it at home, and we are staying here in the hotel, which we were to check in. She was very rude. and very unfriendly. They need classes in customer service , very badly. I have worked in the casino’s , and I have never treated anyone with disrespect as she did me. Not only did this happen to me, but I was scanning my card on the kiosk, and this was later the next day. and a young lady, said the same thing to me. how badly she treated her also. I told her my exp. with this same lady. And that I was going to speak to a Mgr. about her. I also, told her to report her also.
    You should never be treated bad and belittled. like this. If it wasn’t for us spending our money there, she wouldn’t have a job. She thought she was the mgr. I guess. I will never go back there again.

    cons- this hotel was priced like a “new” vegas hotel… it didn’t even compare! room-outdated, no mini-frig, plastic cups covered in plastic wrap, the room safe didn’t work, the hair drier didn’t work, it was noisy.. we could hear everthing! they charged us almost 400.00 per night for a room that should have cost around 99.99! Some of the staff were very courteous and friendly, however we encountered more that were not friendly and did not care to be in the business they were in. we ended up canceling our 2nd night and driving 5 hrs to Shreveport!

The reason given was that “we were too intoxicated.” I asked how they came to this decision, and all they could say was someone in my party was “stumbling.” This was an absolute falsehood. Don’t ever go to this place if you are white (caucasian) and winning money. The jealous will find a way to ruin your night.

    Hadn’t stayed at Goldstrike in a few years but decided to go to see Terry Fator. He was wonderful. Great show!
    The casino machines were the tightest I had ever used. The room wasn’t very clean but it’s an older hotel now. No bedspread on bed. Just sheets.
    Hotel staff weren’t friendly but casino and players club were.
    Think I will stay somewhere else unless they really make better comps. Buffet was too expensive for us to eat.

    Just got home. First room they put us on was horrible, tiny, backed up to elevators, bathroom was very very small, no regular closet (armoire). Went down and they did change us to a normal Room. Very clean, air conditioner didn’t work very well & only two king sz pillows. It is needing some updating. Four yrs ago was our first time and it was great. Ate at the Chicago Steak House… awesome & breakfast at the buffet and we always enjoy that. This is the first yr they wouldn’t promise us a non-smoking room… had to wait until we checked in. When we complained about that little room she said it would be $50 a night to upgrade. Ha The room we did get was not a upgrade & just like we have always had.

    Loved our hotel room because the beds are very soft and the rooms are really clean and up to date. My husband is a smoker so no problems with that and the view is pretty on the 26th floor. Ate at the Buffet on Sunday and we loved the food and it was really fresh. The slot machines are way to tight, we loss $300 dollars in like 25 min and it went down hill even quicker from thier on out and I didn’t hear anybody else machines winning or ringing either. Glad we only took what we could afford to loose because my pockets was seriously hurting afterwards!

    Great as long as you dont stay in the hotel! Between 830pm and midnight someone broke into our room and stole all our belongings. Hotel management was less then empathetic and couldn’t even comp us a tampon? Yes, they stole everything and the hotel management staff said for liability reasons they could not give my girlfriend a tampon…no support, didn’t even know how we were going to get home.

    #really-no-tampon.

    Tried out the gold strike for the first time tonight. Lived 25 mins away from tunica my whole life and been to probably 5 different casinos before the gold strike. I really enjoyed it. I played for about an hour on slots and an hour on blackjack. The dealers were the friendliest i have ever met. Matter of fact i almost hit on a soft 21 like an idiot when i wasnt paying attention and my dealer was looking out for me! Honestly the one and only thing that kept my experience from being 5 stars last night was the cocktail wattresses. They just didnt seem to make any rounds. I literally sat at the table for over 30 mins and ended up having to leave my seat and go get my own drink which was definitely disapointing considering i always tip anyways. Asside from that, i really enjoyed myself.

    Very disappointed with out stay over this weekend!! Multiple things happened, but after everything was said and done bringing my car from valet completely covered in bird crap?!?! I came in with a clean car, now we are off to the car wash the other bellman told us about because it’s the bird crap that can stain the paint to our anniversay edition mustang. Then the ladies behind the front desk really need to review customer service sales techniques, because customer service and the ability to effectively handle a customer service issue doesn’t appear to be in there list of capabilities. This is our 2nd time to have a bad experience within a 6 month period!

    Wife planned this, overall was nice. Room was dusty and stuffy, like it had been sitting a while not used. Bed and pillows were comfortable. View sucked. Card and roulette table dealers we’re nice. Slots we’re tight. Wife lost a hundred in 5 minutes. Waitresses we’re nice but hard to catch. So drinks were slow coming. Breakfast buffet was good. Was supposed to have 2 free buffets but still seemed to have to cough up some money. Can’t figure that. Overall nice but nothing is perfect.

    I always stay at the Gold Strike love it. The service is the best. Waked away with over 4 grand. Not sure how much my friend won but it’s was great. Be back in a few moths. Very classy staff and service. Food was great. No complainers from this Missouri couple.

    The people are very helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable. The drain on the tub needs to be fixed. Chicago Steakhouse dinner was excellent. The server was knowledgeable and professional. The bathtub was small for a tall man.

    Just spent 2 nights at GS Tunica. I used to love GS, but like the rest of Tunica..it’s going downhill. What really has me worried and upset is that I was robbed by the ATM machines at GS! After 2 attempts to withdraw money, and seemed the machine did not work, message given was “transaction incomplete” and no paper receipt was given. So I went on over to the Horseshoe Casino and used their ATM with no problem. After I returned home and reviewing my bank statement online, I see that I have been charged for the 2 transactions that I attempted! And I have no kind of receipts to show anything!
    I called the casino and have tried to resolve this issue, person I spoke to can find no evidence of this happening in their records on the ATM. Her only advice to me was to wait a few days and see if it will reverse itself. Three days later..still no reversal! I’m not sure what will happen next ..but I will go all the way to the top if I have to. It’s bad enough to lose to the slots but I’m sure not going to lose to the ATM. Let me make it clear. I requested $240 from 2 different ATM. .received no money. .no receipts. But I find I have been charged $246.00 two times! Not only they took $480, but also charged $6 for each transaction!

    We are having a great time, relaxing, eating and playing the slots ! Beginners luck. First time I put 5.00 in and got a little over 48.00 out. Whoohoo ! Great view from the 31st floor. Beds are comfortable too.

    Donald and Jenn were our dealers when we went there. Donald explained to us how to play pai gow and we had a blast. Of course after a few drinks here and then, we decided to get a room so a host was kind enough to comp us a night. Everything was great. I didn’t win but I had one of the best time I’ve had at a casino in a while.

    We found the staff from check in to check out to be friendly receptive and very helpful. Our room was clean and orderly. Security was good and in plain view. Our stay was relaxing and pleasant. We will be returning to Gold Strike in the near future.

    Nice clean rooms w/ comfy bed. friendly helpful staff. indoor pool was small but nice. The outside patio area adjacent to the pool need maintenance. Was dirty an unkept the waterfalls was a nice accent to the patio area however Water was filled with trash and grungy and rocks surrounding the waterfalls were loose and hanging off in places. I gave four stars because the staff was helpful and the maid was the best in service and friendliness,

    This was my favorite casino for the last 5 years, in fact, I’ve only briefly visited a few others in the area. Me and my spouse visit tbis casino 3 times a year. In the last 5 years, service, attitude, food quality, and room quality have all gone down hill. I just stayed this last weekend and it’s the worst time I’ve had. Back in June I came for my birthday and had the standard sapphire rewards cards. I was getting wonderful offers and even decent amounts of freeplay. So I’m offered a tier jump if I apply for the mgm credit card… well of course (it’s really hard to gain levels). So now I’m a higher tier and my offers come in.. my freeplay is cut over half, my offers for buffet are even dwindled to pointless.. not really understanding why it feels like I’m being punished for advancing in level.. in fact, after losing over 400 on slots, I asked a pit boss to comp 2 for the pickles and jam. He comes back and says I have to use my comps I earned from slots and then gives me $5. $5 ??? He was also rude, and acted as if I was bothering him when he was just standing around having a casual conversation with another staff member. I stood and waited 10 minutes before he acknowledged me. Also, use to love the table games, the dealers were nice and talkative, lots of laughter and made it a good time.. now they don’t seem to be allowed to talk anymore unless to tell numbers etc.. even had one in June when I went get such a bad attitude that I felt threatened by his tone. All because I was squeezed into a corner next to him and had to reach for my winnings on the table where HE put them. Told be not to lean over table, not what he said l, but how he said it. Just had two very bad trips this year. Think we’re going to try roadhouse next. Don’t like being treated like cattle to be milked. There’s no customer service anymore.

    I’ve been reading the reviews and I must tell you I’m not sure these people stayed at your hotel. I didn’t come from money but your hotel was grand. We had a suite for two nights and it was great. Your customer service at checkin and Mlife were great. Maybe it was the way the customers approached your people. I love your casino. That was my first time back there in 20+ years and have told everyone the comparison to your points and comps versus our Indian reservation casino Silver Star/Golden Moon in Philadelphia MS are outstanding. We spent 600+ in one night in Philadelphia and had 372 points no comps. Spent equal that at your place and had $50 in comp. it’s an extra hours drive to your establishment but worth it. I love that you have staff checking for room keys now also. Truly doing your job.
